This Privacy Policy explains how Dom-Rep ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Dom-Rep is designed to respect your privacy: we do not require an account, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Location. Dom-Rep uses your device's location to find real public places around you (such as restaurants, pharmacies, beaches, and stores) and to sort results by distance. Your location is used on your device to perform these searches through Apple Maps. We do not store a history of your location on our servers.
Places you save. Favorites, travel lists, and visited places you create are stored locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not uploaded to us.
No account required. Dom-Rep does not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or contact information through the app.
Place search results are provided by Apple Maps (MapKit). When you search, your query and approximate location are handled according to Apple's Privacy Policy. Dom-Rep adds its own curated cultural tips on top of these results.
Dom-Rep displays curated tips about specific places. This content is published by us and delivered to your device through Apple's CloudKit public database. This is read-only content; the app downloads it to show you tips and caches it on your device so it works offline. No personal information about you is sent when retrieving this content.
Dom-Rep may connect to a public exchange-rate service to power its currency converter. Only the currencies you select are used to request rates; no personal information is sent.
Dom-Rep is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can disable location access at any time in your device's Settings. Some features (like finding places near you) depend on location and may not work without it. You can delete places you've saved directly within the app, and removing the app deletes all locally stored data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
